An extraordinary international collaboration between Mackay Choral Society and Bentley Music Academy, Exchange for Peace brings together Australian and Malaysian orchestral musicians, adult choirs, and children’s voices under the baton of renowned conductor Kevin Field.

Following a successful season in Kuala Lumpur, this moving concert features Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace and the world premiere of a new global commission composed by four artists from around the world.

This cultural exchange honours those who serve and those we’ve lost, offering a profound musical statement of unity across continents and generations.

Carols by Candlelight

Celebrate the season with music, joy, and the glow of hundreds of candles, proudly presented by Mackay Choral Society, Triple M and the MECC.

Join Jay and Dave from Triple M as they host Mackay’s most beloved Christmas tradition under the artificial ‘stars’ inside the Entertainment Centre theatre for Carols by Candlelight. Families, choirs, and guest performers will fill the air with festive cheer in a concert of Christmas carols, joy, and togetherness.
